Solutions for high efficiency test, measurement and control - PCI, PXI, CompactPCI, Ethernet and USB
The ME series DAQ, control and interface boards designed by Meilhaus Electronic are available in versions for PCI and 3U CompactPCI (PCI-Express coming soon). The CompactPCI versions are compatible with PXI and can be used in any PXI system without restrictions, except that they just don’t make use of the PXI-exclusive bus lines like star trigger and trigger bus. Both the PCI and CompactPCI/PXI versions are fully compatible with each other in software, functionality and connectivity. The main focus of the boards is a high level of reliability through galvanic isolation and high flexibility through versatile connectivity and expandability. The CompactPCI boards can also be used in the ME-Synapse or ME-Neuron.
The ME-Synapse adapts the 3U CompactPCI to Ethernet/LAN, or USB. With this “docking station”, all current CompactPCI boards from the Meilhaus Electronic ME series can be used in an Ethernet/LAN or at the USB. The ME-Synapse has a robust metal housing that makes use of the rugged and standardized CompactPCI mechanics. As an option, the complete device can also be assembled in 19" systems. The ME-Synapse allows the use of the boards in distributed DAQ systems and cross-platform applications (“many bus platforms - one solution”).
The ME-Neuron is a complete DAQ PC system that uses the same stackable form factor and can be combined with the ME-Synapse. It can work as a stand alone DAQ PC as well as a remote PC with ME DAQ boards at the Ethernet (ie. ME-Synapse LAN with additional PC power).
ME series boards, available for PCI or ComacptPCI/PXI:
- ME-FoXX ME-46xx – universal DAQ and control board: 16 bit/500 kHz analog input and output board (up to 32 input channels, up to 4 output channels), 32 digital I/Os, 3 counters. Versions with opto-isolation of all I/O lines. Many options like D/A FIFOs, simultaneous A/D channels, analog trigger etc.
- ME-6x00 - isolated analog output board: 16 bit/500 kHz analog output board (up to 16 channels, model with one 50 V channel), full galvanic isolation of all channels, option: Isolation with separate grounds. Channels with FIFOs. 16 TTL digital I/Os
- ME-1600 – standard analog output board: 12 bit analog output board, Up to 16 channels. Voltage and/or current outputs.
- ME-8200 – high-drive opto digital board:8 or 16 opto-isolated digital inputs and 8 or 16 opto-isolated digital outputs. Levels up to 50 V, load up to 700 mA. Overvoltage protection. Sophisticated interrupt control functions.
- ME-8100 – standard opto digital board: 16 or 32 opto-isolated digital inputs and 16 or 32 opto-isolated digital outputs. 24 V level. Sophisticated interrupt control functions. 3 opto-isolated counters.
- ME-630 – universal relay and digital board: Up to 16 relays, 8 opto-isolated digital outputs, 8 TTL digital outputs, 16 TTL digital I/Os, 2 interrupt inputs.
- ME-1400 – TTL counter and digital board: Up to 6 counters (16 bit), up to 48 TTL digital I/Os
- ME-1000 – multi-channel digital board: 64 or 128 TTL digital I/O channels, expandable with relays or opto-isolation.
- ME-9000 – universal serial datacom board: RS232, RS422/485 or mixed. Up to 8 ports. Rates up to 1 Mbaud. Versions for 5 or 3.3 V. All ports TTL, opto-isolated or completely opto-isolated with separate grounds.
