An industrial grade server combines the functionality and flexibility offered in commercial-grade servers with a robust chassis capable of withstanding the shock and vibration found in many industrial environments. In addition to meeting this growing requirement of industrial companies for high performance, rugged server solutions, the IS-110 industrial server substantially improves total cost of ownership. The product benefits from GE Fanuc Intelligent Platforms’ industry-leading Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) programs, which ensures IS-110 hardware continuity over five years – thus eliminating the time and cost incurred by customers in regularly re-certifying hardware caused by component and subsystem obsolescence. PLM also provides customers with influence over revision control and configuration management.
The IS-110, 1U industrial server, is powered by the latest Intel® 64-bit Xeon® dual core- or quad-core processor with 1333/1066 MHz FSB and features the Intel 5100P/ICH9 (San Clemente) chipset with up to 32 GB DDR2 ECC SDRAM of memory. Peripheral resource controllers include two gigabit Ethernet controllers, a 3 Gb/s SAS controller with software RAID 0/1/5/10 support (hardware RAID 0/1/5 optional), a 3 Gb/second S-ATA controller with hardware RAID 0/1/5 support, plus an Ati ES1000 graphics controller with 32 MB video RAM. The most demanding of flexibility requirements are accommodated by the IS-110 with four 2.5" Hot-swap SAS/SATA drive bays; two full-height, full-length PCIe expansion slots plus one half-height, half-length expansion slot; and a slim drive bay supporting an optional DVD-ROM drive.
The IS-110 server sports local peripheral ports, including keyboard, mouse, USB, COM, and video. Keyboard, mouse, USB, COM, Gigabit Ethernet, and VGA connectors are located on the rear panel. Front panel power switch, reset button, USB ports, UID button, and five LED indicators provide easy operator monitoring and control interfaces.
The IS-110 has a high efficiency power supply unit with the 80 PLUS Silver certification.
