Precision Analog Systems Introduces Remote Temperature Monitoring Module |

Each temperature measurement channel conditions the thermistor input and provides a linearized output reading in degrees C. Sixteen digital inputs monitor fan and power supply status. Each input provides pull-up resistors, over-voltage protection, low-pass filtering and built in test circuitry. The onboard processor performs a monitor module health check as a background operation. These tests include overdrive of digital inputs, ADC zero and mid-scale accuracy, power supply voltages within range and temperature within range. If the module returns bad health status, a detailed report helps to identify the malfunctioning section. This system is ideal for telephony, aerospace, defense, homeland security, test and instrumentation, and industrial applications. A current application uses this device to monitor the equipment cabinet environment in a military flight line test system.
