The new Schroff® 24579-604 cPCI CUBE is designed for use as a desktop platform based on the CompactPCI Standard PICMG 2.0 Rev. 3 bus system.  

This compact system features an aesthetically pleasing housing and frame with standard lower hinged feet and front handles. Within the housing is the shielded subrack with a front assembly area for eight front boards, and one pluggable power supply (3U, 160mm deep) and a rear assembly area for eight rear I/O boards (3U, 80mm deep). The lower guide rails are fitted with ESD clips.

It includes a backplane with eight cPCI slots (32 bit, system slot right), and one P47 style connector for a plug-in power supply.

A standard front pluggable power supply installs directly into the backplane and card cage, which offers a wide input range.  Also included are a mains/line switch and an AC mains/line module with IEC320-C14 connector, line filter and fuses. The front boards are cooled by forced air convection via 2 radial fans installed above the card cage.

Other configuration options and accessories are available that consist of the Schroff RatiopacPRO Case series and various backplane configurations.
